Backed by 7 goals, MacDonald gets first NHL win

Goaltender Joey MacDonald wasn't nearly as sharp Sunday as he was three nights earlier in St. Louis, but he didn't have to be. His teammates were much better, and that was good enough. The slow-starting Detroit Red Wings were determined to burst out of the gate against travel-weary Calgary and give MacDonald the support he's been missing in recent starts.
